What are aerial acrobatic silks?

Aerial acrobatic silks are one of the newest and most impressive arts in the circus world. It is a type of acrobatic performance in which the performer executes various acrobatic figures while climbing on a special fabric hanging from a great height.

The kit includes everything you will need to hang your silks in your space:

The fabric can be used as aerial silk or aerial sling depending on the hanging method. The fabric is sent tied to the figure-eight, ready for hanging. Please specify if you want a knot for silks or for a sling when making your purchase.

• 1 steel carabiner 22 kN
• 1 climbing eight 35 kN
• If you don’t have an existing installation in your space to hang the silks, then add to your basket the certified ceiling mount (see details here).
• If you want the fabric to rotate, you will need a swivel and an additional carabiner

Aerial Silks Kit White Specifications:

• Medium-low elasticity
• 100% polyester
• It can withstand dynamic loads of up to 800 kg and static loads of up to 1380 kg. Practically, this means that two individuals with a total weight of 200 kg can train on the aerial silks.
• Material width: 160-170 cm (+ -5 cm).
• Tested according to the standard: PN-EN ISO 13934-1: 2013-07, ensuring the highest quality and full safety.

For a room with a height of 2.2 – 2.5 m = 6m fabric
For a room with a height of 3 – 3.5 m = 8m fabric
For a room with a height of 4 – 4.5 m = 10m fabric
For a room with a height of 5 – 5.5 m = 12m fabric
For a room with a height of 6 – 6.5 m = 14m fabric
For a room with a height of 7 – 7.5 m = 16m fabric
For a room with a height of 8 – 8.5 m = 18m fabric
For a room with a height of 9 – 9.5 m = 20m fabric

Maintenance:

Before use, check the fabric for holes or cuts. Store in a dry place at room temperature, away from sharp objects. Wash at 40 degrees without fabric softener (remove the carabiner and figure-eight before washing). With proper use, the fabric can last up to 5 years.
