Why is Aerial Hoop wrapping recommended?
The wrapping is used to provide you with a better grip during exercise. The tape also allows you to protect the hoop from various types of scratches that may appear during exercise as well as for hygiene reasons.
How to wrap the Aerial Hoop?
Imagine that your hoop is a clock, with the point where you will hang it being at 12 o’clock. We put the hoop on a soft surface (e.g. carpet) with the handle (12 o’clock) facing down. We start wrapping the hoop after the middle of the circle, around 5 o’clock, and move clockwise towards 12. Then, we turn the handle down again and start from 6:30 pm and move counterclockwise towards 12. We have a double layer between 5 and 6:30 pm – because this is the part of the hoop that is used the most.
